1. What Is A Touch ‘n Go Card?
Touch ‘n Go is a contactless prepaid card in Malaysia. You can purchase either the Classic or the Enhanced NFC version.
Originally used in the 1990s for toll payments, it is now a multi-purpose card for many electronic payments nationwide.
2. Where Can I Use Touch ‘n Go Card?
With the exception of the EZ-Link x Touch ‘n Go Motoring Card which can be used both in Singapore and Malaysia, all TnG cards can only be utilized in Malaysia.
You can use the card for:
- Public Transportation (MRT, LRT, Monorail, BRT, RapidKL buses)

3. How Much Does A Touch ‘n Go Card Cost?
In Malaysia, a Touch ‘n Go Card costs RM 10 (S$ 3). There is no credit loaded inside when you purchase it so you will need to reload it at a selected TnG store.
Co-branded cards such as Watsons will cost more but are easier to obtain.
In Singapore, it can cost between S$ 7 to S $ 10.
4. Where To Buy Touch ‘n Go Card In Malaysia
1. Touch ‘n Go Official Hubs

2. Selected Petrol Stations

There are reports that the TnG cards are often out of stock in many petrol stations so do give them a call to check if they are selling it!
3. Watsons Stores
The Watsons VIP membership card also functions as a TnG card.
As it is a co-branded card, it costs RM 20 (S$ 6) for a new membership. You can also purchase it with the NFC feature for RM 25 (S$ 7).
4. Selected 7-Eleven Stores
Some 7-Eleven stores located near train stations and petrol stations may carry Touch n’ Go cards.
However, like the petrol stations, they carry limited stock.
5. RapidKL Customer Service At Train Stations
Rapid KL is the public transportation system used in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur and uses a cashless system operated by Touch n’ Go.
Hence, you can purchase your TnG card at any of their customer service counters located at Klang Valley.

5. How To Top Up Touch ‘n Go Card In Malaysia
You can top up your card either through physical TnG touchpoints or Touch n’ go eWallet.
For physical locations, if you are dealing with an agent, let them know how much you will like to reload (minimum RM 10), and they will top up accordingly.
Many places carry a RM 0.50 service charge per reload:
- All petrol stations
- Convenience stores (KK Super Mart, 99 Speedmart, etc.)
- Selected retail stores (Mydin, Aeon, etc.)
- Train station customer service counters
These places do not have a service charge per reload:
- Highway toll booths (it will state ‘Tambah Nilai’)
- Watsons stores
- CARiNG stores
- Touch ‘n Go self service kiosks near tolls, LRT stations, and MRT stations
- Touch ‘n Go hubs

6. Using Touch ‘n Go E-Wallet
The Touch ‘n Go eWallet is a multi-purpose app. You can reload your TNG card using the following steps:
- Link your TNG card at the “TNG Card” button on the home page
- Click the “Reload+” button to reload your eWallet (minimum RM 20) either from your credit/debit card
- Whenever you use your TNG card, the transaction will auto-deduct from your eWallet.
Only Klang Valley (except NKVE), Penang, and Johor tolls will deduct your toll fees from your eWallet. All other toll payments require a physical reload.
Note: The Enhanced TnG card eliminates the need for a physical top up as you can reload directly from your NFC-enabled phone:
- Go to “TNG Card” from your eWallet homepage
- Click on the “Reload” button on your card
- Scan your card at the back of your phone for 5 seconds
- Reload accordingly

7. Where To Buy A Touch ‘n Go Card In Singapore
Unfortunately, the Classic and Enhanced NFC version is not available in Singapore. However, Singaporeans can purchase the EZ-Link x Touch ‘n Go card either from:
- 7-Eleven or Cheers: S$ 10 which includes a S$ 3 load value in the EZ-Link purse.
- Selected petrol kiosks (Caltex, Sinopec, SPC): S$ 7 with zero load value
- E-Commerce stores (Shopee): S$ 10 with zero load value
You can also purchase from other reseller websites such as Carousell. However, we do not recommend this option as there is a high risk that it may be a scam.
8. How To Top Up Touch ‘n Go Card In Singapore
While you can’t top up your TnG card physically in Singapore, there is a way to bypass this.
Many Singaporeans have reloaded via the Touch ‘n Go eWallet using their credit/debit card to top-up their eWallet and Enhanced TnG card.
The only TnG card you can reload physically is the EZ-Link x Touch ‘n Go card.
You can only top-up Singapore dollars at any EZ-Link participating stores into the EZ-Link purse.

9. Can I Get A Refund On Touch N Go?
You can get a refund on your TnG card if you either have an incorrect transaction on your card or an expired/inactive/lost card.
However, you will need to register your card on the Touch ‘n Go portal before filing for a refund. You can expect two weeks to one month to receive your refunds.
Additional Tips
- Ensure you have sufficient funds in your TnG card (at least RM 50 to be safe)
- Do note that expired cards can no longer be used. TnG cards have an expiry of 7 years (Enhanced) and 10 years (Classic).
